I don't have the original key for my xbox, and my drive is dead. I was wondering if anyone has the orig.bin file and knows a way to modify it to work with my xbox? I know that this is a lot of work to help me, but if need be I wil pay!!!

You have to have ur orig key to ur 360 to be able to fix anything someone cant just give you theres beacuse it wont match up

Sorry bro. There is nothing we can do without that key, you can try to send it to M$, and if they tell you it is out of warranty say you never opened it and blame the repair center, and just fight, and you will eventually win! Good Luck

Let this be a lesson.....ALWAYS make copies of your original bin.
Copy it to all your HDD's (partitions, storage drive, ect.), email it to yourself and burn it on multiple discs.
How people lose them boggles my mind.

Without YOUR (someone else's won't work at all) orig.bin, that console is nothing but a big dvd player. Your only option is to throw it in the closet and hope there's some advanaces in the homebrew soon.
The only modifing you can do to someone elses orig.bin is to replace their key with yours. That's it.
You can get the key off the motherboard with the Infectus mod chip, but that requires a working dvd drive.

there is a program to reflash your drive without the key
can you still read the key off the drive with the bad flash??
also i can give you a link via e-mail if you want to download the program and try it yourself
lets swap emails and if you want i can reflash it for you i live in texas though

That's must be some ultra-top-secret program you've created yourself. If there was anything it'd be all over the forums. Either that or you're trying to get him to send you his drive so you end up with a freebe.
If there's a program, why not post it? Why's it necessary for him to pm you?

its not a secret program
believe me i come here for help all the time if it wasn't for forums like this i wouldn't know half of what i know
i couldn't believe that even the senior members of this site didn't know how to help him
the only reason i asked to swap emails was because i thought i wasnt able to post links to other sites
plus i just got laid off from my job so maybe now that i know this is such a big deal i can start charging for the info
anyhow to all you doubters heres a hint-its an existing program but on a certain site they have a tut that shows you how to reflash without the original key
someone will probably see these posts that have the same info i do and give it up for free. who knows?!

But like I said in my other post, in order to use the Infectus to downgrade your kernal (to get your key from the motherboard), you need a working dvd drive.

thanx for the confidence guys anyhow it helps to have more info from the guy whose having the problem, thats why were in correspondence with eachother. look at this post he dosent even mention the drive type, firmware flashed or what the behavior of the unit is! i would think half of you guys that are "senior members"(what does that even mean?)(no offense i just thought it meant you guys help more or know more) would know that this is important to be able to diagnose the problem. his drive is not dead as earlier stated just sleeping (LOL)
you guys are quick to try to disprove people all the time ,which is good ,but are you not tired of these forums being full of prove this or that.posts just full of arguing before we can get to the part where someone can just help someone else.
Im not going to waste anymore space on this forum unless it will help someone but i think someone needed to say something
anyone else want help with lost drive keys pm me ill help if i can

He already mentioned that it was a bad flash and he doesn't have his orig.bin. Didn't you read the whole thread.

We are trying to help him but how else would you expect us to act towards you when you're trying to be so secretive and post that you've been laid off and need the money. You're not trying to help him, you're trying to help yourself. That's trying to sell your services, which is against the forum rules. Plus, the fact that nobody else seems to know what "program" you're talking about (I frequent more 360 forums than just AD on a daily basis) makes it look more like you're trying to pull a scam.
So, with all that, your credibility is shot. How can you expect anyone else to believe what you have to offer. That's why you should "prove" what you're talking about. These forums are about helping each other... so if you can help, then help.
