I've planned on buying a datel tool battery and so far i've only heard about the 1800mah one. I was searching around auction sites and such but they are all 1800mah. Then i came across a 1200mah and i have a slim PSP.

I've heard that 1800mah can fit into slims but don't know if 1200mah is actually real.

Also, can a PSP running 3.80 OFW be bricked? How can you tell about bricked PSPs and not bricked PSPs.

Any fat battery will fit into a slim PSP.

You can brick an ofw only if you take out the battery when the downgrade is running...

Right so the fat battery will fit but do you have to hold it in? If yes can i just lean it flat against the table.

Can't i just get a 1200mah if it's real...

If my PSP running OFW does get bricked, can i unbrick with datel tool?

It can get bricked by anything that is messing with the flash.. Like upgrading the firmware official or not, or adding custom theme (through flashing way) It can be recovered by a pandora's battery Datel's Orange Tool battery. All, 1800mAh battery will fit in the psp slim, but there are some 3rd party that WONT WORK.

http://www.dealextreme.com/details.dx/sku.9477
thats a cover replacement, one is a replacement and the other is bigger for phat batteries. That site have other colors too and also have just the phat battery cover for the slim. Deal extreme have cheap batteries, but there are often way overrated. If u want good batteries stay away from auction sites, and dealextreme. Even though they say sony it may be a knock off of it. Dealextreme have some decent batteries though. But almost none 3rd party battery can be changed into pandora's battery.

O yea and some battery... it really depends but most of the batteries stick on the psp slim and doesnt fall off really easy. and if u have never order from dealexteme before... You should know there are really cheap and their free shipping takes 2 weeks.

If you are serious in getting a pandora battery try to get the PSP Battery Service Tool from datel ( http://us.codejunkies.com/Products/PSP-B...__EF000530.aspx ) It can convert slim battery to pandora and back. I believe this only works for sony brand batteries, but I am not quite sure.

Thanks for your help :)
But still there is one more question I am dying to ask.
Does an orange datel tool battery 1200MAH exist?

Here is a site where i found a 1200mah datel tool : http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/TOOL-BATTERY-SLIM-...1QQcmdZViewItem
(The item has ended but i just want to ask if its real)

ya. there is. but remember orange ones only work for unbricking not for regular use. n phat batteries are better.

Edit there is a link to the slim version but the picture is a 1800mAh but if u look at the description it says 1200

This guide : http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/610313
It says everything to install 3.71 M33 and i need any M33 versions. I have a 3.80 OFW, will it work with that guide?
I want to downgrade from 3.80 to 3.71 M33.

Please, no US links because i'm in the UK

Yes, it will work. No reason why it wouldnt. You could either buy one of the tools battery. Phat batteries work on phat n slim, slim battery work on slim only.
or you could buy this http://uk.codejunkies.com/Products/PSP-B...ool__PSP24.aspx
which convert your sony battery into a service battery and back to orginal battery.
Or you could make the battery by uising a custom firmwared/modded psp.
Or you could hardwire mod the battery. (if udont know how to solder, u shouldnt do this)
Edit: UK link.

Right I've seen the datel tool box. It says for custom firmware use. Will it work on OFW?
