xbox 360 doesnt read games but will play audio cd's

is there anyway of fixing a xbox360 that doesnt read games anymore but will play audio cd's.

what would the problem be, and if i cant do it would microsoft fix it for me

Sounds like a bad flash.If thats the case no,if you didnt try to flash it I think they charge a 100 dollars to fix it,Way cheaper to go and buy a laser off ebay and fix it yourself.

No its not that hard at all once you get the drive out in the case off it's only 3 screws that hold it in, slide it off new one on then your done put it back together and enjoy gaming.If do a search for xbox360 lens replacement there is tons of guides.I did my first one last week and it went really smooth.

If it hasn't been modded and the warranty sticker is intact why not send it to MS? Personally I'd rather have a 'professional' do it so I have some sort of guarantee.

Because they dont warranty a laser for 3 yrs just the rrod.I think they only have a 3 month warranty on the rest of system.
