my drive for my xbox will not read disks anymore so i wanna replace it, what kind of drive should i buy?

The same model and version which is in it. That way you could just swap the board out of the old drive into the new one.

There's 3 different models and a bunch of different versions of the models, so the only one who could tell you which one to get is you. You'll have to open the 360 to find out.
