Now that it seems that HD DVD's time is running short, Disney is running a rebate program on a good amount of its Blu-ray titles. Sounds like an offer that applies to very few people. It wasn't clear, but I hope you don't need the original receipt for both movies. If that's the case, this would only be useful if you can find a copy of the standard definition movie in a $5 bin and buy it at the same time that you buy the high definition movie (after the rebate, you were given $5 to get the standard definition movie). I'd be interested in seeing how many rebates are actually mailed out for this.

Yes, from what I understood, you will need both copies of the receipt. If so, how many people do you actually think still have the original receipt for the SD copy?

it is very possible that people still have their old receipts as you are supposed to keep them for 7 years for some record something or other. finding them is another question.

u do keep them for a few years

Totally have to agree onthis one. For tax purposes you do keep them for a couple of years.
