I have been researching this for some time and I just need to know if I got everything down.
I am going to get this card. I would of liked to get a card for my laptop but i have a gift card with $18.05 on it and i could not find one that cheap.

I am going to follow this guide and wanted to know if it is legit.

Do I need another Sata cord or can I use the one already on the 360?
Is the ?BenQ_iXtremev1.1 Multispeed firmware? the latest version?
If I install the slower speed firmware is the load times the only thing affected? How slow will they get compaired to the faster speed?
Do I need to connect to xbins? I downloaded a auto connect kit and I can't seem to connect.
Sorry for the n00b questions i don't want to have a brick.

use this video guide. used it on 2 benqs already and worked perfectly.

that card will work assuming your using a desktop instead of the laptop you stated in your original thread. newest FW for the benq is 1.4.1. i would use either the 12x or 8x. and no you do not need to connect to xbins for anything.

I got my card today and i am going to flash tomorrow but i would like to know is the defult drive speed 12x or 8x?

well...tough to answer, technically its 12x, but if you flash at 12x its a constant 12x, not a variable 12x that would be on a stock benq. i did both of mine at 12x and havent experienced/heard any problems thus far.

I keep getting "Bad command or file name" when i try to enter "dBin [my 360 serial]" I also tryed to enter it without spaces, I also tried useing 1234567 12345. I have been looking on google but i can't find any answers.

its because you are typing it wrong. command should be 'dben 1234567 12345'

well let me know if that works for you now then. also make sure you check the fw it dumps to ensure its not bad like all 7's or 1's or f's. if it is bad, look in the backup folder and check them, if they are good, just replace the key for it and all will be good when you flash it.

I got a good key and emailed myself the backup. I flashed and everything worked great. I tested a retail disc (FEAR & Forza 2) and it worked and my 360 is a reasonable volume now since I flashed with 8x and I do not notice any difference in load times. I cannot test a backup because the download is not done yet.
What do you mean by replace the key?

you dont have to worry about replacing the key now. sometimes you have to do that if you get a crappy dump as i did in both of the benqs ive flashed so far.

well 1.4 is the newest there is, so i guess so. and the blaster is a waste of money, it was useful back in the day when a new FW was coming out every month or so, but now its pointless to have.
