i have installed a wiikey and it works fine and dandy. i was just wondering if anyone knew how to take a n64 rom and make it playable on my wii via burning it to a dvd. i have so many 64 games. but my controllers have been worn out for ages and it would be so nice to be able to play them on my wii.

There is a N64 emulator that can play the roms, but its gamecube homebrew. It will work just fine on the wii but will require a gamecube controller and memory card to play.
True wii homebrew is just starting out (Someone made pong the other day using the zelda buffer overflow trick) So if you dont have the gc controller and memory card you're gonna have to wait for new emulators.

i do have a memory card and a couple controllers. i just have no idea on how to get it workin on my wii. would you be able to tell me where to get the stuff i need and how to get it workin. that would rock! and thanks for responding to my question in the first place!! really appreciate it!!

im just not sure if i needed to convert the roms into a certain formatt or even what emulator i would use. im not new to the emulator and rom world. i can play super and nes games and stuff like that on my comp. i even have a disk that i play on my wii that has super, nes, and sega games on it. thats the whole reason i chipped my wii. i want to play all the older stuff on my console as apposed to my piece of garbage computer. anyway, thanks again!

If you search torrents or usenet look for a n64 rom disc for wii. It will have around 10 games on it and as far as I know these are the only games that will work on the wii other that the VC n64 games. From what I understand this disc is basically a compilation of games that had an emulator built in which allows them to run. The disc comes with 2 Zeldas, Mario64, Mario kart, Waverace, Kirby, and a few others.

ah.... so only a select few games work eh. well that kinda sucks. o well i suppose. better than nothin thats for sure. i appreciate the help
