ok so i've been looking into getting my 360 modded and i hear talk about it voiding your warranty, i dont understand how that works. and if i get the "3 rings of death" or if something goes wrong with the system after i mod it, will i still be able to get it fixed?

well, when you open up your console, you have to take off the warranty seal under the front face plate, thus voiding your warranty. however, if you are careful with a hairdryer and utility knife blade, you can take the seal off with minimal damage and reapply it so it doesn't look like it was tampered with. if you attempt to send in a broken 360 to MS without the seal on it, they will mail you the same broken one back most of the time. however, if you put the seal back on it, and it doesn't appear that it has been messed with then it should get fixed.
