i have two xbox 360's with samsung drives (one ms28 and the other ms25) which are both flashed with ixtreme 1.4 firmware. I also have a backup of Turok and the game plays fine on my 360 with the ms28, but when i try it with the ms25 it wont boot the game. Instead, it says "mixed media disc." I've also had problems playing a backup of juiced 2 with my ms25, but the disc plays fine on the ms28. Could this series of problems be because of a bad laser?

Also, the ms25 xbox originally came equipped with an ms28 drive, but i switched the drive boards because i experienced similar issues with the ms28 board.

What DVD's are you using? It could be a bad laser or maybe just weak and is unable to read discount brands. If you aren't using Verbatims I suggest picking some up.
