My motherboard does not have a SATA plug. If i go out and but a SATA pci card and stick it into my motherboard, will i still be able to flash my xbox 360? Is there any way that your xbox cd drive will permanently be destroyed during the flashing process?

Also, is it true that you dont have to use the hot swap method to backup the 360 games these days?

Thanks

I see you needa do a little reading to update urself on the currents but yes. If you buy a sata card which alot of people do u can plop it right into ur mother board and flash from that. Usaly people unplug all other drives to be safe but you dont have to. As for making the games no you dont have to swap them anymore to burn. You can use a certain dvd drive and dl burner. id tell you the names but im sure steimy or someone else will cus im filling lazy lol

I hope I can use any sata card to flash the hitachi drive because the tutorial above says you have to use a specific one.

thankyou dindi for assisting me.
I also have one more question about copying the games.
I have an external USB Sony DL burner. Can i use that to burn my games?
In three days, it will be exactly one year since i have wanted to do this. I even opened up the sony drive to get ready for the hot swap thing and never got the guts to flash the xbox.
