after many hours on the net searching, i came across this tutorial

i saw a video of unbanning on youtube http://youtube.com/watch?v=TsMmlu8corA which made me go on and search this info out

anyone know more details about it?

as far as i know, and most other people on here will agree with me, you cant unban a banned 360.

Yes i have seen them use the Infectious chip to unban a console. And yes it can be done. But here is the catch, you need a key from an unbanned console. So if you happen to have two consoles anyway why would you want to ruin the key on one of them to unban the other? Just keep one console stock and buy the games that you play on live for it. Then you never have to worry about being banned again.

steimy haha I think you know why wat you said wouldnt work for some people. And here is my ? if u take the code from one system does it ruin it or can both systems now work on live

last i read about the infectus chip it pretty much ruined the other 360 as it just replaced/swapped the keys (i think). and i like how hakentt things someone stole his key. dont you have to wire in the chip to read the key from the mobo to get it??

Is it just me or are those grill marks on hakentt's ass lol. But anyways so do u think it would be worth it to buy used and rrod xbox's for the keys. I mean there is always a chance that they are banned but you never know, or does the xbox have to be working in order for that chip to read the key

That is the way i understand it as well. If you take the key from the unbanned one to use on your other then you have pretty much still got the same thing. One unbanned console and one banned one.

The RROD idea is actually a very good one, as long as you can get the key from it. But once again i ask why bother. You could most likely spend less money on an RROD fix kit then that chip and as long as the RROD console has not been previously banned you would have your unbanned console that way.

As it stands right now, a rrod 360 would be useless for a key because the 360 also needs a working dvd drive.
