i'm assuming you have official firmware on your psp. you CANNOT upgrade straight to custom firmware if you have official firmware (1.50 is the only exception)

use THIS guide to get custom firmware.

ps2: v7 scph-39001 - independence exploit - hdloader 0.8c - maxtor 300gb hdd
(+[__]%) psp slim ta-085v1: 6.60 PRO B10
wii (powered by bootmii/priiloader): 4.1u - d2x v10beta53-alt (base 56) - configurable usb loader v70r51/devolution r188 - wd scorpio black 7200rpm 320gig w/ ams venus ds2 enclosure

got a whole lot more to list . . .

He said he has 3.90 M33-2
It might be the program(s). Most programs don't work with 3.90 M33 (even 3.80 M33) yet.
3.90 M33-2 is only good if you have timemachine installed on your MS (because you can just boot up with 3.60 M33 and boot homebrew from there).
Right now, there's nothing you could do but wait until the homebrew is compatible with 3.90 M33.

if you already have custom firmware, you wouldn't get the error.

Not true. I have a fat psp with (1.50 originally) and now updated to 3.90 M33-2 and it doesn't work for me either. I use to play any game or play any homebrew I wanted now I cannot....

I don't think you've changed the settings in the recovery mode..

Press Select whilst in the XMB (PSP Main Menu) and go down to the "UMD ISO MODE" and use left/right to change it to either "Sony NP9660" or "M33 driver". Then go down to exit and try your games, they should work.

PS2 - Swap Magic 2.0 DVD - Swap Magic 3.0 CD - Memory Card Exploit - Swap Magic 3.6 ELF - Swap Magic 3.8 ELF

PSP SLIM - OFW 3.71 - CFW 3.71 M33 - CFW 3.71 M33-2 - CFW 3.71 M33-3 - CFW 3.71 M33-4 - CFW 3.80 M33 - CFW 3.80 M33-2 - CFW 3.80 M33-3 - CFW 3.80 M33-4 - CFW 3.80 M33-5 - CFW 3.90 M33 - CFW 3.90 M33-2

XBOX 360 - Currently Researching Mods

PS3 80GB (Soon to be 320GB) - OFW 2.50

Well, I learned something new. I had no idea about pressing select in the XMB, but sadly for me it didn't change a thing. I tried it and my homebrew still will not boot. I downloaded the Dark Alex firmware from his site so it has to be legit.

I also tried holding R while booting and toggled those meus to what it's supposed to be and nothing. It's so odd. I'll try re-downloading some of these 'programs' that i'm running and see if that helps..

Thanks
