Hello All!

I just obtained a new PSP with software version 3.8, and do not want to upgrade or downgrade, just download some games from PSPBlender. The instructions are pretty clear until the point of transferring to your PSP from your computer. What is with all this devhook stuff, and I imagine that this is only required if you have firmware 1.5, as noted in the instructions?
To get to the question, I do not believe that I should need to do anything other than download the game to my computer, and then hook the USB cable to transfer the game to my PSP with my current version of firmware 3.8? Can someone please confirm this for me, I am rather lost on all this.

Thanx

PSPBlender is a FAKE >_<
I've heard it from many sources >_>

any suggestions then?
What is all this stuff about altering your firmware?
It all sounds too risky to me, all I wanted was to download games.
Thanx

Nah :)
It's not much risky >_<
btw, which PSP you have ??? o_O
Is it a PSP slim or PSP classic ??? :)

btw, there are these custom firmwares (i.e "Hacked Firwamres") that will allow your PSP to play .iso games (i.e downloaded games, you can download these games from torrents), run homebrew emulators, applications etc. and alot more on your PSP :)

My PSP is one of the newer PSP Slims.
Having looked at PCBlender, most of these programs are hacked and homebrew. I have no idea what all this is, and find it rather scary to try, as I don't want to mess up my new PSP. There is a lot of talk of these fimware #'s and m33 files that I don't understand, but am sure that this is what will allow you to play games and use homebrew.
Thanx for writing back to me, I feel better having someone to talk to about this stuff. and apprecaite your feedback.

eresting read, thans for sharing!
I guess I am one of the ones that got taken for a ride, as I gave them their 37 dollars, and have had nothing but frustrations. More so, they have not been of any further assistance, and keep stalling when asked to honour their 60 day money back guarentee.
So, can you suggest what I should do, or where to go to get some goodies, like games?
As I don't know much about computers and these game machines, I am very worried about screwing it up, and having no recourse.
Again, thanx.

I have many sites :)
But you'll need a custom firmware to run or play them :)

And well, in the site I gave you, read the comments that the other people are writing in and you'll see that they're experiencing the exact same problem you are facing >_<

Those guys from PSP Blender never reply and no assistance is given >_>

btw putting a custom firmware on a PSP is not much difficult >_>
There are many guides available on this site :)

Well, I read more comments today regarding this Web site and so called service, and I'm going to send an e-mail off to clickbank for a refund, or stop payment, and forget all this crap with PSPBlender. It is clear to me now that I was sucked in to a scam, a phishing expedition. The never give me good service, and keep asking the same questions even though I provide them with the answers they have asked in their previous e-mails, like they were automated replies.
Thanx Guys and Dols!

OK, so I sent an e-mail off to Clickbank for a refund, and have given up wholy on PSPBlender, what a mistake.
Even though I want to be able to download games to play, I am not going to do any firmware mods because I have no idea what I'm doing. Reading some of these articles mention things like Pandora's Batteries, Pluging up their PSP's and now to unplug, is all a little nerveracking to say the least. I also fail to understand what the m33 is all about after the firmware number, are these the modified versions of the firmware?
Your help and comments have been most helpful, thanx!

Good step taken man :)
Screw those PSPBlender guys !!! :)

btw, m33 is a custom firmware :)
Like 3.71m33 is a custom firmware for 3.71 firmware :)

btw, "Pandora battery" and "Magic Memory stick" are used to install that type of firmware on your PSP :)

so, just out of curiousity, I would need to obtain a Pandora Battery in order to install a custom firmware 3.8 m33 into my PSP?
What do they look like, and where can I get one?
Thanx

if dont like the idea of modding ur battery, just use like 2 months of psp blender subscription fees and go onto ebay or somewhere secure to buy a softmodded (used software to mod) pandora battery

once u install CFW, read abt it then using CFW seems trivial

my (+[__]%) life

2.81 -> 3.71-> 3.71 m33-2 -> 3.71 m33-3 -> 3.71 m33-4 -> 3.80 m33 -> 3.80 m33-2 -> 3.80 m33-4

saddest (+[__]%) moment

i upgraded to 3.71

1 Week before, I saw someone selling both of them on eBay :)

EDIT : THIS should help you :)

James65....

give someone $20 to do it for u.
I bought a pandora battery and magic mem stick. The setup up i got is easy. Put in mem stick, then battery, turn on...press X and everything goes buy itself. I'm left with 3.80-M33 firmware.
Took about 2 minutes.
Its very easy...but it cost me $80 for the batt and magic mem stick.
many people will do it for u....although if u can afford it...get your own battery and magic mem stick...because i hear that things can go astray and it may need to be redone later.
Only then can u copy an ISO image of a game to your memory stick and play a game.

Thank you all for your feedback.
I would like to get the Pandoa Battery and Magic Stick, but wonder if eBay is the best place or not. Maybe you might get someone selling something that is defective, and that would be no good.
Based on what I am hearing from MightyOne and 07anto07, it really is not that difficult. I guess you don't need to be techie to do this!

OK all, just hear my thoughts on this and let me know if I'm right.
From what I have understood, all I need to do in ordedr to download games and homebrew is buy a new battery and memory stick. Once I have them I need to download and install this Firmware 3.8 m33. I think I also saw something about breaking one of the prongs on the battery, but I dont recall seeing any prongs on my battery.
Is this right?
I did not understand what guides 07anto07 was referring to.
