Hello i just got a psp slim 3.72 and i tryed to downgrade but found out i could not unless i have a pandora's battery, so i hardmodded my battery and it works still, after that i was told to use TOTALNewbieasyInstaller so i used that and in that program there was an options like unbricker and 3.71m33 (option 4) so i chose that one. when i try to go into game on my psp and click on memorie stick it shows up with the right installing things but when i try to run them psp symbol comes up then error (8002014C) please help me i feel like i wont to snap my psp in half and chew on it untill the plastic cuts my mouth so bad i die of blood loss... i have been working on this for a good 10 hours maybe more. please i beg im new to this wesite so send me a message edited by ddp or messge me on here or something just please!!

what are you trying to run ISO? emulator? Homebrew?
because you've got a slim some homebrew programs will not work because it needs 1.50 kernel to run. you can get 1.50 on a slim with dark_alex's time machine but i'm not sure how it works because I don't have a slim.

wtf are u talking about. is it downgraded now? what does it say under system settings - system info. Also its against forum rules to post emails.

oh sorry about that, let me try again. what i want to do is play iso's on my psp but i got fw 3.72 and i wont to get 3.71m33 or even 3.80m33 anything that lets me play iso's now i have already hardmodded the battery from my slim psp so now its like that pandora's battery yeah? then i tryed to downgrade and upgrade but it would not let me do either. i could not run the downgrades/upgrades that error comes up.

well... wen u pop the hardmodded battery in does the screen turn black with the green lite still on?
if yes, put the magic ms in then the battery. see how that goes

When i put the battery back in there is a green light then it starts up. Magic memorie stick? as i said befor it works fine still it just wont downgrade or up grade and all i wont to do is play iso files.

if it does not go to the xmb menu (screen is black nothing else) your battery has been set to service mod (its a pandoras battery) if not you will need to try to get it to be a pandoras battery.
as for the magic mem stick this is what holds the installers for 3.71m33 if your a slim psp you can get all the files from here
here's a tutorial that should help and explain how to get to 3.71m33 for slim
after you have got to 3.71m33 you will need to make a ISO folder in the root of your mem stick to play iso's
e.g. G:\iso\gamename.iso

1. Download the TotalNewbieEasyInstaller program (Google or Yahoo! it).
2. Run the program (Start.exe).
3. Put your PSP (with the Memory Stick) into USB mode and connect it to your PC via a USB cable.
4. Follow the instructions (this will involve formatting your MS stick so be sure to backup any content before).
5. Choose 4. Universal Unbricker: 3.71 M33 Installer and install.
6. Follow the instructions.
Buy a new battery and mod one of them (i modded the one that came with my psp and use the one i bought cuz it lasts longer.)
Go here to figure out how to hard mod a battery.
1. Make sure the Memory Stick is inserted inside.
2. Insert the Pandora's Battery or Datel Tool battery into your PSP Slim's battery slot.
3. Follow the instructions. Here you can restore your PSP Slim to 3.71 official firmware, install 3.71 M33 or backup the PSP's NAND ROM to MS by pressing 'Square'.
4. PRESS SQUARE!!!!!!! Let it do it's thing and then it will shut off by itself. Take the battery out and put it back in.
5. Press 'X' to install 3.71 M33 firmware.
6. Once done, remove the battery and insert a none-hacked battery, or take the battery OUT and put the charge plug IN.
7. Turn it on. You can confirm the firmware by checking the System Information.
8. Update to 3.90 M33-2

Yeah sorry about putting my email adress i did no know, i just wanted my psp done quick. Thanks for the usfull info i will try it now, oh btw i already have TOTALNewbieasyInstaller and i ran it but, now that Hoip and Dr1ver have told me that the screan cant go black i must have not HM'd my battery properly, the pin must not be off properly so thanks again i will try it if it dont work ill be back lol.

Umm. well i tryed to fix it but um now the screan stays black and the green light is on and the psp wont even start. : ( i can still play it thought the charger tho. then when i put the battery back in while the charger is on then remove the charger it stays on, but it still wont downgrade...

You have to create a magic memory stick to use with the pandoras battery. Search the stickies at the top, make your MMS then insert the MMS, then insert the pandoras battery and follow the instruction that come up on the screen.
