Pretty sure it has to be in the 3GP format. The video resolution must also be the same or less as your screen resolution.

I use Handbrake, and Any Video Converter too.

While we are on the subject of converting films for phones, does anyone know how to convert a widescreen film to play on the full screen of the handset (Mobile phone, Nokia N95)?

I did search, but only found a thread from 2003, and that was related to DVD-R on a TV, and not a phone.

Any help appreciated :)

Thanks a lot for this recommendation. I just download and try this tool and it works fine. And I really like the function that it can download and convert YouTube movies directly for my iPod Video, hmmmm, where the amazing happens!
