will this be the final update to brick my wii? i have wiikey, at 1.9g, and I have a US wii, at 3.1U,
Do i update, or will it brick my wii?? and what is the update do?

I'm about to install a wiikey today. I'm still at 3.1u, and I was planning on running the SSBB NTSC-J update after installing, and then connecting to the internet to install the new 3.2u firmware. So far, all I can find on other forums are people that are too afraid to do the update...except here:

There's a couple people on this forum with NTSC-U Wiis at 3.1u firmware, with Wiikey updated to 1.9g, and they have no problems after downloading the new firmware. (one person even says that he thinks his backups run better afterwards)
still, I'm definitely interested to hear about more people with Wiikeys that are experiencing no difficulties after downloading the new firmware update. Please share your news if you do so.

I just updated my wii to 3.2U firmware.
ALL my backups work, including Brawl (Jap)
And People who experence loud noises while running brawl, This update seems to fix that problem. My brawl load times are so much quicker too.

hell no, if a europe 3.2 hasn't been released yet, its probably on its way...3.1U will brick your PAL wii

I also have a US wii with 1.9g wiikey and the update didnt hurt it at all. I also noticed, like 4ndy, that brawl load times seem faster. However the drive spins more. So I'm guessing that the update has the wii pre-load more content from the disk to speed up load times.

I dont know what is happening to my wii...
So i have 3.1U and i have wiikey 1.9g and can play brawl and everything...
I have 3 sets of news and weather... haha one from each region...
Anyways i try to do the 3.2 update and it connects and says that it is doing a system update...
Then it takes forever and eventually i get an error saying i couldnt do an update because of a connection error or something. but i can connect...
Any ideas?

okay... so i get it to work somewhat... it goes about half way and then i get the error... i go into my wii menu and it says 3.2U so im assuming it works? so then i see if i can update again. and it lets me... so im trying to get the full update...? anyone have ideas of what happens midway through a update?
And do you think it is just my internet problems?

Internet update is always better than game updates.
Renzuko: Are you sure your wii is properly connected to the internet? I thought mine was broken at one point when I couldnt connect anymore but it turned out someone else in the house had messed with the wireless router and changed a setting. Anyway I had the same problem as you. The wii could see that there was an update but it couldnt download it.

You haven't been able to?? What's wrong? Good thing I haven't updated yet. Not that I care about Wii Shop channel but I just want to be able to access all the channel on the Wii menu. I don't mind waiting for a few more seconds of loading time :)

same scenario here:
i have 3.1u and wii key 1.9g <----- all working fine (SMG, Metroid, and all games; no duplicate channels )
1) want to get <Brawl US> working...need update to 3.2U? <--- OK or NO ? what about the wi-fi / net for this game, any effects?
2) any problems later or will it effect my other games? i read somewhere that some backups might not work afterwards...
3) i read that this game needs 1.9b and not 1.9g and use swap at 70% method or should i use WiiBrickblocker to remove update for this game?

I don't know why this was bumped, but 3.2 is safe in all ways (originals, backups, scrubbed games, twilight hack, etc).
