I would like to see them expand COD4. You know...new guns, new maps, new achievements. An add-on perhaps downloaded through the PSN. Obviously COD4's bread and butter is the online play, since the single player mode is only about 5 hrs long. If they do a new COD, they will draw everyone away from COD4 online.
Eventually COD5 will arrive, I just hope that it comes out at the right time, or in other words when better graphics are possible. I think for right now, COD4 has set a benchmark in the graphics department. Spending an extra $60 for a new game without an advance in graphics or game play seems like a rip off to me. Especially when they could design and release new maps and new weapons right now. I would like to see a new map available every couple of months. Anyone else share my thoughts....or am I just crazy. Believe me I've been called worse.

I don't know if this is confirmed or not, but i heard COD5 is not going to be developed by Infitiy Ward.
Therefore it might not be as good as COD4.

yeah it treyarch or what ever there called aint it.. same ones that made 3... great flying jeeps and crap gameplay again. they should miss out 5 then go to 6 back with IW lol

I read a few months back from PS3Fanboy.com that COD5 development has in fact been given back to treyarch which puzzles the crap out of me. Also I read that COD5 will be anothe WWII shooter **vomit** but this time set in the pacific. This really is disappointing as I think that everyone can agree with me that we had enough of WWII shooters.

I'm not going to buy it if it's another WWII game. We DEFINITELY have had enough of those.

I know this is off topic but since we are talking about COD. Was a patch released last night??? I was online and I never got prompted for a new patch to download. I read the 360 version of COD 4 got a patch yesterday 2.28.08, so when do we PS3 owners get ours??

Well the patches were given to both M$ and Sony early last week, they just had to get them ready for distribution, M$ must have had an easier time with it.

What does the patch do, or fix? My only gameplay complaint is with the sniper rifle. I am sure that we have all experienced it, you shoot a guy right through the friggin chest, but he is fine and then he kills you. Sucks! There are also a few claymore quirks. Other then that, the game is almost perfect. Needs more boards for online though.

Usually patches in these type of games involve both client and server-backbone-network changes. So sure sony will push it out asap, once they get things set up and tested out. (its in there interest to better the game.)

What bugs me is when a sniper is firing at you, on the video replay his cross hairs are nowhere near you, they are all over the place!!

They really need to decrease accuracy or firepower of the LMGs, it ridiculously over powered.

Well its realistic, a light machine gun will tear you to bits, you cant expect to sacrifice realism in a game like this for gameplay's sake.

They've already released the patch for that, and the acog scope on the 360 a few weeks ago. IDK why Sony is taking their sweet ass time giving their stamp of approval.

I never liked WWII shooters. Im not into the past. Id like futuristic COD maybe set 20 years from now with remote helicopters and such like that Xbox game that just came out. Screw all those WWII tanks and guns and planes.
COD4 should have rooms where you are the shooter in the helicopters that get called out after a 7 kill streak. There are enough of those where it should keep a lot of people active going from map to map in helicopters when they get called out in all the various on going games. Or maybe have active tanks after a 10 kill streak or something. Maybe shoot a 50 cal mounted tank gun or something. That would keep COD4 new and fresh for awhile.

Maybe Infinaty Ward will make its own game away from COD4. If it is as good as COD4, I would buy it. Doesnt have to have the same name and hopefully not a WWII concept. Maybe a WWIII or Terminator concept.

I agree. I will definitely be interested in Infinity Ward's next game. I am really exited about the new maps. Charlie don't surf is my favorite board from the single player mode. Have they confirmed a release date.

i like the roving plane that shoots shells and 50 cals down on the targets below. That would be a good airstirike to call in. Maybe after a 12 kill streak. Could you imagine playing and having that plane above your character unleashing hell.
