I've been thinking about maybe modding my 360 but I'm really concerned about playing on X-Box live and getting banned? I have worked really hard to get my achievements, and I don't have money for a new 360 if I get banned. So I'm thinking it's probaly a good idea not to even worry about it. But it would be great to be able to download games until i can save up to buy them. so my question is...

As of right now how safe is it to mod the 360 if you play online a lot?

as always its a 50/50 chance of getting banned. your time will come...will it be soon, or a ways down the road...who knows.

Ok. Cause I read in the FAQ's that the Ixtreme was somewhat stealthy about blocking Microsoft's security measures or whatever so i was thinking the risk factor was a bit better these days. I notice you answer a lot of the question's Wabashman.. so I have to ask. Have you ever been banned from live yet and have to buy a new console or do you even play online that much? I'm only curious cause you really seem to know your stuff and I'm just trying to decide if it's worth attempting.

ya, i have been banned and my brother was banned, but we were running like the old xtreme 4.3 and 5.2 FWs. i flashed my new one in january and havent been banned yet. flashed my three room mates last fall with ixtreme 1.1 or so, and none have been banned from live.

Listen , stop playing cat and mouse with M$. mod your xbox and buy a xboxlive arcade just for live. keep your modded xbox off line . Trust me you will get caught sooner or later. You are suppose to be playing back ups so you should have the original games which you could play on live. Use memory card to transfer data.Put modded 360's hard drive onto arcade so you coul download demos and movies. Put your profile onto your memory card and any saves from modded 360. It's that simple and enjoy live and enjoy not getting banned.
