is it necessary to dump the nand before downgrading from 3.51 ofw to 1.5 using Pandora's Jigkick + Magic Memory Card Easy Installer

I would if possible...dumping the nand's could save your PSP if anything goes wrong!

I've heard that OFW nand dumps are better than CFW dumps. But that's just what I've heard. Someone please correct me if I'm wrong.

not sure why you think ofw nand dumps are 'better' than cfw, a nand dump is a nand dump and will return your psp to the condition from which you dumped the nand from
