flashing hitachi lg ersion 48fk need professional help

alright i am tryning to get the keys and oriinal firmware off my hitachi 48fk, but the only problem is i need my computer to recognize it. (i have a windows vista computer) i followed the hitachi guide on 360 mods .com about flashing my drive, followed the steps, everything worked till i actually got the drive n modeb using slax 2, then i tried to restart then my pc would not boot, it said insert bootable disc,(the sata cable was still plugged into my xbox) what did i do wrong)??

If your pc is still saying insert disk you need to go back into your bios and change your boot record back to booting from your hard drive. Also if your having trouble keeping it in b-mode there is the 2 wire trick (which is what i used since slax didn't work for me). Also make sure you have it plugged into the first (master) sata port, as this was one of my problems. Another problem could be maybe you unplugged your hard drive that contained your windows install?

hmm what is the first master sata?? thought there was only 1 in the pc or do you mean in the xbox?
also what is booting from hardrive im confused..

yeah the same thing happend to me. its definately the boot order of your hard drives. you need to change the order that its currently booting from in the bios.

restart the computer and as its loading press DEL or F1 depending on your motherboard... the look around under the tabs for something like boot priority or something similar. the choose a different hard drive usually arrow keys and page-up/page-down buttons.

beandip, how many hard drives should my pc have ad what order should i set??(this wont mess up my computer right??)
