Can u play online gamecube games on Wii

Just wondering know i dont know if thier are online Gamecube games, but if their are say online game cube games and i popped it in my Wii, would the online gameplay work becuase of the Wii Wifi compatibability ?

The only gamecube games that had online play were as follows:
Homeland
Phantasy Star Online Episode I & II
Phantasy Star Online Episode I & II Plus
Phantasy Star Online Episode III: C.A.R.D. Revolution

I dont have any of those games and dont know anyone with them so I cant say if their online modes work, but even if they do I doubt there are very many people still playing them online so online play is gonna be spotty at best.
