ok this it well i made the but usb with the 1.4 firmware with prep 101 ok that went well i got dell 4600 it got inside the motherboard 2 sata port do i need a pc1 port to flash it or will this do when i use my boot usb it boots to the dos ok it ask me my serial and dsam this it was shows up

This will create a folder for that particular xbox 360 , read the original firmware (as sam-ofw.bin ) and create a modified firmware ( as sam-cfw.bin ).
If sam-ofw.bin for that xbox 360 already exists THE PROCESS IS ABORTED

what am i doing wrong and by the way i dont think its a flash for dvd becuase i bought my friends dvd rom that it was flashed and doesnt read the back up games now i think the flash is in the motherboard of the 360 because if it was in the dvd it would work on mines they are same models and the dvd rom doesnt have no memory the board does ok can somebody help me

Oh boy,
we cannot help you whenever you dont specifically state what the problem is exactly.
As to the answer questions in the first paragraph, find out what chipset your dell has and look it up to see if its on the compatibility list, or try to read the drive with it. It might or might not work and you may have to purchase a pci card if you want to have read/write access to the drive.
As for what your "flashing" is the firmware of the dvd drive, not the xbox 360 itself. I dont know if this is the case or not being that your typing skills are horrible, but you cannot just take your buddies flashed drive and slap it in yours and expect it to work even though they are the same models.
In your next post state what the problem specifically is, and in a understandable manner and im sure myself or someone else will help you.
