Game burning help

I have burned 3 games and none of them work 1 says unreadable disk and the other says unplayable disk. Im wondering is it the cd's or is it the iso that are messing it up because im putting in the ss files into xbox 360 ss merger right and everything but instead it shows red on the thing I was informed that its ok for it to be red. When I download the games from "my place" it comes in a .dvd and a .iso, what am I doing wrong? My dvd drive is a external one and its a Atapi a lh1p20A. And on the thing it says dl so it will burn dual layered, also my dl cds are hp invent double layer dvd+r 2.4x. Plz help me

Ok I got verbs now on ss merger when I put in the ss merger do the md5 things have to be green or can they be red, because some ppl say it doesnt matter? And alos my games I get come in .iso and .dvd but the iso is like 7 gigs and the .dvd is like 1 kb on clone cd do I pick the .iso or am I supposed to do it a certain way?

So your saying Im supposed to burn the .dvd file thats like 1 kb to my blank dl disk? And also with green and red thing on ss merger can u answer that too?

if you riped the game with a kreon drive it should be fine, if you downloaded it than i have no idea.
yes start the burn with the dvd file, it has the layerbreak info in it, the dvd file will then start up the iso file on its own.
I have lost all and any respect i had for this site!

Yes burn the 1kb .dvd file, once you start burning it it will then show its burning like 7gb's or something. If you burn the .iso you will get coasters. I did this using imageburn, and the .dvd. file worked everytime.

Ok, here is the deal.
If you are getting them online, then any GOOD site out there with respectable scene releases would not need any stealth patching with SS Merger. I have never once had to patch a game manually.
The Samsung DVD-Rom drive flashed with Kreon firmware, and using it to make your own back us from originals is still by far your best bet.
But i would say it could be many things:
Your discs
Your burners firmware being out of date
You patching games that do not need it
You getting things from a site who has uploaders who do not know how to make a proper release
those are my top picks.
Oh and here is the easy "how to burn":
1. open newest version of IMGburn
2. go to mode and select ?write?
3. now browse for and select the .DVD file you just made
4. Select your burning speed (i like 4X on a 6X max speed Verbatim), and booktype the media to DVD-Rom if your burner can booktype
5. hit start and burn it.

Ok so far everythings good, but how do I know if Im supposed to patch the game or not, because I get all my games from torrents and they come in .iso and .dvd?

Hey I dont want to F&$* it up ok and waste a CD. So if Im being such a pain answer that last question because the guy before you said patching it with the .ss file and stuff could be why it has been messing up. So answer the question plz.

Get XDVDmulleter and use that to check if it is stealth patched.
You can also use the stealth check function in Xbox Backup Creator but i do not think it is quite as accurate.
