Hey guys!

Thank you for all I will receive at these killer forums!
A few Q if you guys don't mind answering:
1)I want to make sure that the way I go about converting and burning an AVI movie to SVCD is acceptable and produces the best results possible. I follow a guide named "GaryFoolproofAVItoSVCDGuide" to the letter. Basically this is what I do:
1)check the AVI for bad frames in virtualdubMP3
2)delete the bad frames
3)save the repaired video file
4)use virtualdub to extract the audio (and save the WAV)
5)use TMPG to convert the AVI to SVCD w/ the saved WAV.
6)burn with nero espress as SVCD.
Is this an acceptable way to convert/burn AVI to SVCD?

Obviously I am asking this for a reason--mainly b/c I followed this guide and converted/burned an AVI of terminator 2 PAL @ 25fps to SVCD but the svcd contained bad video frames and out of sync audio on my RCA230N DVD player.

2)as I understand it, simply deleting the bad frames using virtualdubmp3 causes audio de-syncronization, so WHAT IS THE BEST WAY TO FIX BAD FRAMES BUT MAINTAIN AUDIO SYNCRONIZATION?

3)WHEN I SELECT THE VIDEO BITRATE, SHOULD I TRY TO MAKE IT AS HIGH AS POSSIBLE? I never want to use more than 3 cdrs for a movie, so if I can manage to fit, for ex., a bitrate of 2300-2400, should I go for it?

4)I converted/burned an AVI of the matrix and it plays nicely--no bad frames, but, HOWCOME THE AUDIO GOES OUT OF SYNC FOR THE FIRST 10 SEC OR SO AFTER I FAST-FORWARD THE MOVIE? The audio returns to normal after 10 sec or so, but why is it initially out of sync when I fast forward?

5)SHOULD I SELECT AN AUDIO BITRATE OF 48 OR 44KHZ?

all the best ladies and gents and thx!
