badtrip.. i upgraded my PSP fat 2.60 in 3.90 (not custom firmware),
because I'am a begginer, i don't know the difference between the custom firmware againts the original version...
now i want to downgrade it, I tried the magic pandora, but it was not working, i don't why, I tried many version of PAndora, but still, the same problem exist, please help me, Im so very frustrated to downgraded it.. tnx in advance
what method have you tried the hard mod or the soft mod version?
also is you click on my userbar in my sig theres tutorials for both.
the other thing is are you running vista apparently vista has problems creating a magic mem stick.
as for the difference between cfw and original fw just imagine it like this origonal fw is like a prison (limitations to what you can do) and cfw is like the freedom of the world (free to do loads of thing but there is a bit of limitation). basicly cfw allows you to play iso came it allows you to do all the things that the new official firmware does with the ability to run homebrew applications.

my friend tried to downgrade my PSP.. but same problem exist...
we tried the UPMS V3 fastest install and the slowest install,and also I tried the easy install UPMS,
the pandora battery is working, but when I insert the magic stick.. my PSP boot in the normal mode, not in UPMS mode,
can you teach me, how can I manually brick my psp?? hehehe Im so depress...
or can you give a good link tutorial to downgrade my PSP.. please than you so much

your problem isn't the magic mem stick but the battery. the screen should go black when the pandoras battery it inserted and then turned on . i would suggest going through the processes of making pandoras battery
On a custom Firmware psp Run the UPMS Installer Make sure you install the Boosters Multi-IPL from the IPL tools.
If the Custom is a Phat Boot the MMS with holding the L button and make sure it says in the lower right active folder is one of the Despertar's not Pandora menu
Then take the MMS Put it in your system Hold the L button and Put in the Pandora Bat. that should then boot the Pandora loader and let your Flash 3.71 or 3.8 Custom firmware (I go with 3.8 and then run the auto update from dark_alex)You should then have a PSP running Custom firmware reset all your setting and have fun with homebrew and speeding up your games by Copying the ISO to a Memstick
I think I covered most everything I am still kind of new to this, I was luck and got a 2.8 PSP phat and this past weekend hacked my Slim.
