[GUIDE] GO!Messenger For PSP's Outside Europe

PSP owners warm up your handhelds as the online PSP messenging service powered by BT has been released and is available for download via the Go! Messenger icon on your XMB. Make free video calls, voice chats, or text chat with your friends using your PSP and if they don't own a PSP, then call them on their PC. That's right you may also make free calls to PC's by downloading some software for free, called BT Softphone 2 which can be found on the Go!Messenger site here.
This service is available to both Phat and Slim users and will only work on European PSPs. Have Custom Firmware??; then simply follow this easy guide by zainil.
Go go into the Recovery Menu and then into Configuration and go down to Fake region and press the x button until your set to Europe.
Go into Go!Messenger and download it.
Go back to the XMB and click the Go!Messenger icon. It should boot like a game.
Follow the steps to register. It might take a while to load because the servers are in Europe and lots of people are registering. If your country isn't listed then chose another English speaking country.
After you finish registering restart Go!Messenger and log in.
You may also sign up on your PC here, and if you enter your email, then you'll have to wait for two confirmation emails. Remember thats two, once you receive the second one then you're good to go and can login on your PSP.
NOTE: You need a theme with the GO! Messenger icon installed on it. Some custom themes do not have this icon.

sign up on comp first. then dl software for the psp ( forgot where i got mine) use a hex editor, look to the right for soem text, and edit the 3.90 and change to 3.71 and save :)
copy the folder to the psp/app section then to the game section and run and ur good :) oh my nick is tripleohno add me anyone

My nick's hiboyme, don't ask me why I chose that nickname, but I added you both because you guys from AfterDawn and aD is cool :P
OK... I think something is wrong with my Go!Messenger because all my added contacts are offline. Is this a coincidence, or is this happening to you guys? I live in Europe, so it should work for me. So, IS this a coincidence or a problem? Thanks.

It's cause I just got home from work and am online now.

Well.. You see, I added people from another forum site(no where as good as AfterDawn) and all of them has a big X beside it, meaning they're offline. I asked some of the people there, and they say they have the same problem, no one goes online. But.. On YouTube a couple of guys were talking on Go!Messenger so I'm not too sure... Does contacts in your list ever go online?

Hi I downloaded go!messenger on my psp, it lets me login but it wont connect to the go!messenger service. if you have any solutions let me no plez.

if i upgrade its version to 3.90 m33, can i still play homebrew games and iso and cso games? no error for all type of games?

hey my nicknames rossmc92. Give me an add if u want. Im havin the same problem. The closest Ive ever came to contact with anyone is being added twice and even when I accepted them they werent on. plz tel me if u get anywhere here.

Not exactly the right thread to post. But 3.90 M33 can play homebrew games ( remember to add the 1.50 addon). ISO and CSO games works fine

It must be that none of your contacts are online when you are. It happened to me, as you can see, but Marlin and I tested out Go!Messenger and it does work. The best way is for you to add someone on MSN who has a PSP with 3.90(M33) or 3.93(M33) and tell them to go on Go!Messenger at the same time you go on.

Not exactly the right thread to post. But 3.90 M33 can play homebrew games ( remember to add the 1.50 addon). ISO and CSO games works fine
Thank you so much.. one last thing i want to know.. what is 1.50 addon? where can i find that one? if ever i have that 1.50 addon, where will i place it in my PSP? thanks for your reply..

If u dont know , there are homebrew games and apps for psp. The run these on ur CFW u need the 1.50 addon. U can get it at the dark alex site. The 1.50 addon can only be add to the fat psp. Most of the new homebrew games and app are already have "slim support"
