I downloaded Dead Rising to use on my 360 hitachi v059 I think was successfully flashed with xtreme 1.2 firmware and I burned it on memorex Dual-layers and fujifilm dual-layers (verbatim are too expensive) and either it goes to a black screen for about 5 seconds then says it cant read the disc or it shows that little video where it says please insert this into a xbox 360. I downloaded it and it was .dvd and .000 format. I wasnt sure if it was patched so I got ss merger and downloaded a ss.bin file for it off mininova and then I merged it with the settings to blank the video thing (xtreme style) and then I selected the imgburn patches. I didn't do the MD5 check because for some reason, it never works, it doesn't connect to the database. I then tried burning with ImgBurn. I'd like to know what Im doing wrong.
Thanks

did you set the booktype on imgburn to DVD-ROM? do originals work? you should use verbs. theyre not too expensive. at bestbuy theyre $42 for a 15 pack, which is less than buying one game, and i know you can find them online cheaper.

$42 for 15 is a rip off, edge. Go to Sams Club (only available at stores) and the Verbs are 50 for $69.99 always

i never said those were the cheapest ones, i know you can get them for less, but its still costs less than buying a 360 game.

I tore off my tag of my current bundle, and can't tell. I just know I've used about 150 of them and they never once coastered so they are great.

Right man, just if you have a Sams club near you, just check into those. I just like buying them there because they are always the same price and don't feel like waiting forever for them to go cheaper. They are great for sure, never once coastered.

I got it working with memorex DLs (cheapest ones 22$ for 25 DVDs) and it worked. The problem was the flashing thing that I got. I got a newer version, the xtreme 2.4 which checks it at the end and keeps doing it until it is successfully flashed and I restored and flashed a couple of times to make sure it was done properly and then I burnt the image with imgburn and it worked.
