Help! I'm a military member with dinosaur internet here out on a deployment. I know there are forums out there for help but it takes too long for pages to come up. I need as much help as anyone can provide.
I let someone use my modified phat psp with 3.71M33-4 and I think he erased my firmware. He tried to format my memory stick with my psp connected to his pc instead I think he reformatted the PSP itself. So I took the PSP inserted a memory stick in to reformat. After I reformatted it, I then had a screen come up that said I had a serious error and then the screen went black. I turned it off and tried to turn it back on and the screen is black. I tried to back door the psp holding the right trigger and holding up on the power button and nothing happened. I am the only one onboard here with a modified psp so I have no help. My question is, is my PSP bricked? Is there anyway to recover? Any help is useful.

Yeah i believe it is bricked, thats a weird way for it to brick though, never heard of that type of thing before..

Anyways, any brick can be recovered, you just need a Pandora Battery and Magic Memory Stick. Search the site and youl find out about it very easily

Fat Psp, Bought Day Of Release :D 1.50 > Various Other OFWs > 3.40 > 3.72 > Pandora..=]> 1.50 > 3.52 M33-4 > 3.72 M33-4 > 3.90 M33-2 w/ 1.50 kernel

Slim Psp FINALLY 3.71 > Pandora-fied seconds after leaving the box ^-^ > 3.90 M33-2

Hi, don't know where you are serving at the moment but if you post me your PSP I'll unbrick it for you for free.

I am ex-military and I am a 100% genuine person.

Most people charge for this service but I believe it should be free and possibly provided by Sony. As they are never likely to do this I thought I would put them to shame and do it myself.

All you need to do is pay for the P+P to and from my address, it takes about 20 mins to unbrick and upgrade to the latest custom firmware.

I think most people would notice they are not Looking at the memory stick but there Flash just from the directory structure and Go hay I should not format that. It is a interesting problem, it was probably Flash 0 or Flash 1 sense they seem to have all the files and are the important ones.

Not to all Before Letting someone walk off with your PSP make sure USB is pointed to MS not flash

If I'm not mistaken you have to have a modified psp to make magic memory stick and pandora's battery. Can you make magic memory stick with a non modified psp? Unfortunately I don't have anyone out here to make that happen. The guy made a copy of my psp before he reformatted it and when I put it back on my memory stick it was a bunch of files that look liked you use to flash the firmware. I saw a bunch of prx files. Please provide as much help as you can being I have a super slow internet connection out here. Thanks.

You can make the magic memory stick without a PSP on custom firmware but you'll still need a modded PSP to make the battery.

Unless you do it like this http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=tpYBzq8GxLI
Just be careful when modding the battery this way and make sure you have a spare battery just in case it all goes pete tong.

Have fun
