Hi
I have a psp with 3.90 firmware on it, and a few backups...the only thing is every now and again a huge chunk of game saves become corrupted, and I have to start from scratch.
I think my memory card is a little bit dodgy (possibly fake), and one of my games has huge lag when playing cutscenes.
Is there a way to fix this because its really bugging me!
Thanks in advance

sounds to me like a fake MS.
but just to be sure, go to the xmb, and then scroll to Memory Stick, press Triangle, then click Information and see if it say's MagicGate Unknown. if it does, then it's a fake.
this might also explain the lagging business.

Thanks its definitely fake, but I don't get why it corrupts data..and it seems to only happen when playing a backup of Ace Attorney (which also has really bad lag)
Do you think it could be the game image? Or still the memory card.
Thanks for the input!

if it's only happening on Ace Attorney then i'd assume it's the game.
just out of curiosity - what's Ace Attorney?
that's a DS game isn't it?

Oh sorry I mean't Harvey Birdman Attorney at Law...
Thanks for the help! I guess I'd better get another backup and have another go

if you keep getting slowdown and issues with lag try converting your cso files to iso with UMDGEN 4 by opening the cso file whilst in UMDGEN then "Save As" ISO.

Thanks but the CSO file is 1.4 gb itself...so an ISO would be huge! I'm guessing theres no way to compress other than cso

if it were an iso it'd be 1.6gb, so it's not that much. and since the iso plays with no lag whatsoever, i'd say it's worth the extra 200mb.
