I have tried so many guides from forums, to video guides where they give you specific .zips and .rars complete with "everything you need" and it doesnt matter whether its using HEN280 or eloader/xloader it doesnt do anything past that point. My psp doesnt even freeze...what i have noticed though was in all the guides they say i should have 2 files in either the HEN280 folder on the psp XMB or the eloader/xloader..whats up with that??! I have firmware 2.8, and my mobo is IC6001

I tried it, it didn't work..Just a thought the file "ta82downgrader" even though its for the 2.8 firmware, does that mean i have to use that? cause i don't have that type of motherboard. Btw i meant to say it before **In HEN280 i only get the picture, and NO corrupted data file underneath it, so only 1 file while all other guides say you should have 2.

Well, there must be a problem in the downgrade process >_<
I think that downgrader is for TA-082 motherboards :)
See THIS guide to downgrade your PSP :)
Select "Show" for the option -2.80 PSP :)
Do not choose the -2.80 PSP (TA-82 or TA-86) option :)

Thanks alot for replying man but i tried it and still no luck, i dont understand my psp should at least freeze like everyone elses but it doesnt..any more ideas?? :(

I have reformatted the memory stick so many times ahaha, soo i don't think there would be old files. I reformat, then put all the files on that come in the links and stuff nothing more. I should probably add that i was a 2.71 then read somewhere it was easier to downgrade from a 2.8 so i dowloaded a supposedly "official sony firmware" from the net and installed that...that wouldnt have anything to do with it though would it??? :s

2.71 is more easy to downgrade than 2.80 :P
I've downgraded my PSP from 2.71 to 1.50 :)
Now, me thinking to upgrade to 2.80 to 1.50 :)
I'll see when I'm doing this and tell you of a nice guide and what I did to downgrade my PSP :P

i am having the same problem as you fruciante. I downloaded the Hen program and when i press start or X, it just shows me a picture of the Hen and then goes back to the main menu. Am I missing a file? Could it be my pro duo stick? I have a translucent green SanDisk 1g Pro Duo.
