I am in the process of pandorising my battery but I opened it and this is what the chipboard looks like:

I have a old psp phat and im pretty sure the battery is an official sony one, its 3.6v 1800mah. Please respond soon, can this one have the leg cut off and if so can someone help me as there is 2 close chips, one with 8 legs and one with 6 legs.

OK
First Question Do you have Custom Firmware?
if no Question Do you know anyone who has Custom Firmware?
If no What Firmware ware you Running?
Second Question what are the Numbers On the Battery, How old is it?

Question for everyone Is there any Current Sony Battery that requires a Hard Mod? Or is it just the way to do it with out the hard Mod.

Can you hardmod Old Batteries or just the new ones? sense I think that is the question sense it is a old Phat Battery.

If the old batteries can't be moded you could pick up a new one that could, Or You can try and find someone who will Flash Your old bat. I am sure someone would be willing to Flash you Battery and make a MMS for you if you sent it to them, paid shipping and Possibly threw in a small tip, or you might be able to find someone local to you that you can just see at a coffee shop or something and have them make your battery into a Pandora for you and Possibly even help you with getting your system running Custom firmware, for like a Coffee or Lunch.

If you are looking at Hard modding your battery you need to be patient . It is not a task I would undertake.
