1.) If I have a CFW in my PSP, how do you access the recovery mode? Even without a Pandora Battery, can I press the R button while turning the PSP on and will that put me into recovery mode instantly?

2.) As I've read in several PSP hacking tutorials, they do recommend using <4GB Memory Stick Pro Duo when hacking the PSP. Is this information also true after hacking (during playing)? Or can I use any >4GB Memory Stick Pro Duo when the PSP is already installed with a CFW?

3.) What are eboots? How can you play a PSX game in the PSP? And what is POPSLoader?

1.) Yes

2.) The Memory stick should be a 512-2gb if your talking about making a magic memory stick

3.) Psx game are converted into eboots so the psp recognizes it. Popsloader is the program use to recognize the different firmwares of eboots. Ie..an eboot that is created for a psp with 3.71firmware you have to use the 3.71prx from the popsloader program to play it.

When you start a psx game for the first time it'll boot a list of firmwares and the psx you download should tell you which version, just choose that version and your good to go. If you created the psx eboot and transfered it with the program to create it you would choose original from flash.

There is only one program but you have to install all the different prx files for different firmwares. Most people forget about this and wonder why it doesn't work. There's a file around here somewhere with all the sony prx files already made, i'll try and hunt it down and post back.

yes you would use the first option original from flash. I have two 8gb and it still ain't enough. I'm doing a 64gb internal hd mod right now. Hopefully the psp will recognize it. right now it'll recognize 16gb so i'm hoping it'll at least recognize 32gb.

To make things easier i'm seeding a file i got from mininova called "PSP prx(all sony prx's)" copy and paste that over at mininova and it shouldn't take long to download. It's only 26mb. Put that file in your root of memory stick and go into recovery and enable plugins/popsloader and your good to go.

do you still need this "8GB memory stick support on any CFW" from pspslimhacks? and how do you mod your 64gb hdd on the psp?

past 3.71 you don't need anything for the psp to recognize 8gb.

My mod is hardwiring a 64gb Compact flash card internally. One of my fellow members at Acidmods has already done a 16gb SD card but the psp only recognizes 14gb of it. The compact flash runs off a nand base like the PSP so I think i'll have more luck.

M33 updates are just bug fixes. so if your at 3.71M33 just update to -4 cause it contains -3,-2,-1 updates. Same with popsloader.

Compressing iso to cso is just to save space. Some games are large as 1.7gb and compressed they can as low as 1.2

so this has the popsloader also? and the popstation?

do you need to install the systemplayer101 from pspslimhacks? as i noted, this autothrottles the cpu speed of the psp in order to prolong battery life.
