Can the Wii read DVD +R Dual layer

I don't quite know what the difference between -R and +R is... but my DVD writer can only burn +R dual layer.

Would the Wii read that? if the Wii is chipped of course.

Im trying to burn a backup of a dual layer rip of super smash brothers brawl.

P.S. Am i right in saying the file for smash brothers brawl dual layer rip is about 7.92GB?
