Are the japanese Dualshock 3's fully functional on the NA PS3's??? Do any of you guys in North America play with Dualshock 3's???

Yes, they are compatible with any PS3.

I read somewhere on the net that the dualshock 3 was supposed start selling here in the states in late march early april. I want one as well I just figured that I waited this long a few more weeks wont hurt. Ialso the price was supposed to be 54.99

Yeah Sony said in one of their press releases that it was going to retail for $55 USD. I knew it wasn't going to be like $100 bucks like your friend had told you but even I thought they were gonna charge like $70-75 bucks, pretty good deal if you ask me.

Dualshock 2's have been out FOREVER. Maybe that's why they're so cheap. They probably weren't ever $54.99 but they were more than $25.

i got a jap dualshock i'm guessing off ebay for about 30 quid and i have a uk pal ps3 and it works like a dream with army of two etc

is there no adapter for dualshock 2 controllers, as i dont want to fork out £20 FOR #3 and i like my silver controller.
