3.40 oe-a to 3.90 M33 via Easy Installer

I recently downloaded the 3.90 M33 easy installer and before I try it out I want to know if I can use and go directly from 3.40oe-a to 3.90 M33 or if I need extra files or updates before I run the easy installer?

ok, so I followed a guide for installing 3.52 M33.
I downloaded a winstaller and it completed. I then formatted the memory stick, shut it off and turned it on, but when I go to system info it still says it's 3.40oe-a.

I tried installing update 4 anyways but it said it doesn't apply to this firmware or is already installed.

So I went back to install 3.52 M33 manually but when I run M33 creator it says loading 1.50...couldn't find 1.50, press "x" to exit.
I have the 150.PBP and 352.PBP in the M33creator folder and everything as well.

Now I don't know what I should do...

SAME PROBLEM >>> SOLUTION

Try this:
-turn your psp totally off. (hold the powerbutton for 10 sec)
-then turn it back on while holding R (so you'll go to recovery)
-then select Configuration ->
-now select "Game folder homebrew"(currently: 1.50 Kernel)

your Kernel is currently 1.50 I guess. by selecting 'Game folder homebrew', you'll change your 1.50 kernel to 3.52
now try updating to 3.90 M33 again:)

also, you said you downgraded 3.40OE-A to 1.50
could you send me the link for that downgrader?
cant find it anywhere :'(

or better yet, a installer for 3.40 OE-A to 3.52M33
need to upgrade a friends psp but I lost all my files..
