Eurovox Max V 2008 Intermittent signal

I've installed an Eurovox Max V 2008 (Black) on my NT*L connection - using Powerscan (6887 baud) I get 13 TP's and what seems to be all the channels fine. However, while watching it my picture breaks up, and flashes to No Signal intermittently. Sometimes it can be fine for a long ime, othere nights it is unwatchable.

Looking at the channel manager, I can see the signal strength on the TP is nominally 85% - and then occasionally drops to 7-15% then back to 85%. This seems to be the cause of the problem - but how do I keep the signal strong?

I've removed a spitter from the cable (wall->box) and I have a gold scart from Box->TV. All connections are snug. Current Sys Info is:
