I'm still kinda new to this 360 stuff, so please don't flame me.

I've looked around and I see that many *procedures* needed to play backup-games require you to OPEN the 360, thus voiding the warranty.
Is there any way to just simply do this software-wise, without opening the 360?

Let me tell you a secret...When pealing off the warranty sticker do it nice and easy and slow and when you are done put the sticker back on and you will not notice a thing...

not sure you will find tutorials on that one. But unlike the poster above me i actually have some valid input.

What you need is a razor blade and a hair dryer along with some patience and a steady hand.

If you heat up the sticker it can be CAREFULLY removed with a razor blade without damaging it. You then take the sticker and apply it directly to a piece of wax paper (like a sticker would come on) so that it will stay in place but will not stick. It can then be taken off the wax paper at any time and put back on the console. I would leave it on wax paper for when and if you ever have to return it rather than putting it back on. this way you safe for future flashing as well.

I see what you mean now steimy about the posting with that guy. But anyways thats a good trick to use. I always just used a blade never thought of the dryer and wax paper. Ill have to try that out

I used a heat gun one time in melted the sticker,and it made the plastic gummy,lol ya try not to do that one.

Ok so i modded an xbox360 today for a customer and did that trick steimy said and PRICELESS. Came off no grey missing or anything and went back on like a champ fellas thanks again

Just don't do what I did with the wax paper/sticker with one of my personal 360's. Stuffed it in the bottom of my "game" drawer and somehow lost it.

I believe it got trapped somewhere between my cases and when I took them all out...it dropped somewhere...never to be seen again. :/
