I have the PSP slim v3.80 2001. I would like to know how i can mod it without voiding warranty (if possible) or without messing it up.

-What are the best method or options available to mod it?

-Where can I find the trust & best PSP ISO?

I'm a noob when it comes modding! Help me out. Thanks

Modding is very dangerous and not reccomended for Newbies. If you do wish to Mod your battery I will provide a guide for you: LINKS DELETED
*I have never tried modding before and therefore i am will not take responsibilty for your actions*

There are many great sites for PSP isos. Torrents can have viruses in them. I will give you One of my two best sites:
LINKS DELETED

Deathtord, I'd delete those links, as your not allowed to publicly share them.

And Modding ISNT dangerous with the right guides

Fat Psp, Bought Day Of Release :D 1.50 > Various Other OFWs > 3.40 > 3.72 > Pandora..=]> 1.50 > 3.52 M33-4 > 3.72 M33-4 > 3.90 M33-2 w/ 1.50 kernel

Slim Psp FINALLY 3.71 > Pandora-fied seconds after leaving the box ^-^ > 3.90 M33-2

Torrents are fine - You're a fool if you manage to get a virus from a torrent.

Just download from sites you can trust, don't walk in blind, and you'll do fine... piratebay.org is good, amazingly unlikely you'd ever get a virus from there, but scrapetorrent.com is probably the best torrent sites, as it searches many other torrent sites at once and compiles the results, so you don't have to look in many places for the files you want.

Torrents can be ok from Piratebay.org. But I've detected at least 3 viruses while I was downloading so all i'm saying is be careful.

Grab and go sites are the best though.

For newbies modding is dangerous cos sometimes they slip and cut other things. Anyway Modding isn't reccomended.

Which virus checker are you using? I know ones like AVG throw up things that are perfectly safe files and says they're Trogans etc.

Yes i am using AVG. I am using Outpost firewall as well but they haven't detected threats. Anyway I personally do not like torrent files.

Buying a Datel tool battery is the best way instead of modding.

Then i suggest you use a different anti-virus, AVG is too over-sensitive.

The topic went a little off topic. Anyways, Thanks for the help. I've been busy so couldn't reply back.

http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/610313

Is this guide the latest *updated to recent* and the best method for PSP Slim FM:v3.80. Should I upgrade my PSP from SONY? or I won't need their patches?

I want to know what would I have to do after making a Pandora battery? Also, would I be able to reuse my Pandora battery with PSP?

If not, why is that?

Does the Pandora battery is good for one time use?

If my friend has a Pandora battery can I use his to mod my PSP? or will i need the PSP Pandora battery always?

I'm sorry im kind of confused on this whether i will need to have the Pandora battery in the psp to make the mod work?

Thanks so much!

If your friend has a phat with custom firmware he can make his battery into a pandoras and use it in your slim. After loading the firmware from your Magic memory stick he can change his battery back to a normal one as long as he backs up the eeprom from the battery before creating the pandoras.

He has the Phat PSP. He's actually my friend's friend. So, I just want to know everything before giving it to him. He have done it many times too. By the way, are you're saying that, I won't need the Pandora Battery once he installs the custom Firmware into my PSP? The Pandora is needed only once and afterward I can use my normal battery for the PSP and play?

Thanks!

yep. once it's done your good to go. If he's done it before it's totally safe.

Are you sure that you've modified the memory stick, because if you just modify a battery and insert it into your PSP. The PSP will auto turn on and you'll get nothing more than a blank screen.

The reason is because, when you modify your memorystick, you add files on there that boot up a screen when you flashed your battery.(example: The msipl.bin file, which has the code to load the screen)

So if you don't have the magic memory stick and/or haven't modified it. The PSP will just stay in that black screen you've mentioned.

Plainin to get the slim (moddified) BUT IT THE ONLY THING IS THAT IT HAS NO 1.50 KERNEL!{^_^}

Right... Could you give us any reason why your post has any relevance? That's also rather in the grey area in the forum's rules about piracy... looks like you're treading on thin ice there :P

Yep psplova45 that's definitely quite thin ice there - a site name that possibly has pirated stuff is one thing but getting pretty close to the edge there.
