Hey, guys, first off let me say I am a bit of a noob, so I apologise if anything sounds stupid!

Ok, so I got my 360 flashed a few days ago. Know I want to start burning some games, but I don't have a dual layer burner. So, obviously I need to buy one....

The thing is, I'm not sure what I need. I've read some stuff about Kreon, do I have to have a Kreon drive such as one of these:

http://www.kreonxtreme.co.uk/SH-D162D.html

or can I just buy this Pioneer if it'll do the same job:

http://www.ebuyer.com/product/136445

Also, if I do need Kreon, would that external one on the first link be as good as an internal?

Thanks in advance!

sid is correct, you need a samsung drive flashed with kreon firmware to read your games, here is a link to ebay where most people buy theres.
you also need a good quality dvd dl burner to make the backups,
any one should work fine.
there are some programs you need as well, xbox backup creator or xbc to read the game and imgburn to make the backup.

I have lost all and any respect i had for this site!

Guys I was curious...I have a Samsung drive already...model sh-s183l.

Is it possible to use Kreon firmware on this drive? If so how would I do that?

Thanks...

There's no Kreon firmware which will work for that drive.

By coincidence, I already had a Samsung dvd drive that could be flashed with Kreon firmware! Done it last night. Good times!

Now I just need a burner.
