i was on 3.71M33-4. i got the god of war chains of olympus iso yesterday. im running it off the memory stick. it ran just fine and everything worked well until i defeated the big lizard like thing and got to the next level. now i load the game from the "Cliffs of Marathon" save and it loads just fine. then i come to the part where i have to fight three archers. This is where the problem arises. when i run to them the game freezes and the PSP turns off with a pop sound and the WLAN light blinks once. i upgraded to 3.80M33 but the same problem. and oops! i almost forgot, i got a psp slim. Help me please!!!!! Thanks in Advance

it will be slower with 3.80m33 lol

change the cpu speed to 333mhz some umd games do it automatic so if you are playing a game at 266mhz default for a game that needs to be at 333mhz it will lag and slow down

theres another 2 things you can do

first install the fatmsmod v2 you can get it from dark alexs web site

second try changing the iso drivers to different ones m33, sony one, oe and with out

hope that all helps 0_<

also as TitoGanGs said if its a cso it will need to be uncompressed 0_<

that fatmsmod is for speeding up the memory stick read/write speed for cfw 3.80m33 and 3.90m33 it uses the code from 3.71m33 to do it im sure if you google it with tutorial on the end you can find a tutorial on it

i havnt done it my self so im unsure on how to get it to work. you ether have to put it in the flash0 yourself or i think dark alex made a program that will install it for you

also try changing the cpu speed to 333mhz you can do that if you press select and then go to game clock speed. its safe but will drain the battery a bit more 0_<

hope that all helps 0_<

i figured out the problem. sorry it was the fault of a bad ISO rip. i downloaded another rip. it works fine. and one more thing,3.80 M33 runs the game smoothly and i didnt experience a single lag in the whole game. so if it lags then consider that ur PSP is ageing

lol my psp is very old and had no problems with lag (apart from nfs carbon but that was a compressed cso and it was a real bad rip) so i dont think that it will go with age 0_< well i hope not i dont think sony would make a console that would lag when running there eboot game (which are the same really as isos) after a couple of years. 0_<

I have the same problem and the iso I have is the one released by the group PSN. I'll give another download a shot to see if their ISO is indeed the problem one. Thanks

Actually dun have to be 3.80 or 3.90 in order to play GOW. I played mine smoothly on 3.52 M33-4. So far so good. Now I was in the last stage. Dunno Temple of what.
