For some reason, COD4 wont give me any achievements. I am aware that if you have cheats enabled you cannot unlock achievements but I am 100% sure that I don't have any on. Once I realized that the enemy intels unlocked the cheats I did take some time and enable a few just to see what they were like, but ever since then, no matter what I do on there that should give me an achievement, does not. Im confused about why this is happening. Any Suggestions?
PS: I have 29/30 intels and I am stuck on the last one but do not even care to take the time to get it because I know I wont get the achievement because I didn't get the "Look Sharp" achievement when I found 15.
Big Thanks To Jamaal10!

I wouldn't worry about it, people who freak about achievements seem kinda lame if you ask me, just play the game and have fun. And yes, my gamer score is like 12,500 so i'm not saying this because my achievements suck.

Noo, I am not all worried about the achievements. I already have the game beats and most of it on Veteran. I was just hoping that I would be able to get the achievements for the rest of the levels I have to beat on Veteran since it is pretty tough

Someones else posted the same problem awhile back. They got the achievement for finding all 30, but didn't get the one for finding 15.

Quote: i used to be like you. YAY!! I got an achievement, BUT then i realized something. HMM Its pretty exciting to see the achievement message pop up on my screen, but what will it do for me in the future, HMM?? am i going to use pickup lines to girls saying stuff like, Yeah, I got 15,000 achievement points!! No one cares!! Just play the game to have fun, if you are trying to unlock every achievement in a game, well, then i would have to ask you when's the last time you went out with some friends or went on a date??
And I have to ask you what the hell are you talking about. Im not some kid who sits in front of his xbox all day crying about one achievement. I was just wondering why I didn't get it. Don't you think that if you did something that was supposed to give you an achievement, but then you didn't get it that you would be curious as to why you didn't too? So next time before you come on a public forum like some tough guy think a little bit before you start accusing people of things

That's probally a little harsh against andersg. He was only asking if anyone knew why he was having a problem. Now... you want to see a bunch of whining, achievement whores, go over to 360gamesaves.com. Those guys swap game saves. They don't even play half the games. Those guys need a life.

Why is there so much anger on the forums lol. While points dont do anything its nice to have extra missions and objectives to do when you have done everything else. Gives the games a little more life. Rank is everywhere and if the points dont do anything at least they give you a little since of pride. Eh im off my soap box

I Agree, I like my bragging points and If it was'nt for achivement points I wouldn't see all the game has to offer, as you will look for the secret places like in halo 3 to get the skulls.I just wish they gave you more in offline mode like Call of duty 4.

Ya, I don't bother with the online points either. I mean, if I get some, fine, but I don't even bother to see what I'd have to do to earn them.

Who me? If so, you should've clicked on my tag first. I got 15000+ from playing 97 different games according to Xbox.com (mgc.com is only showing 84 for some reason).
So I have 15000+ out of a total possible 92720. Come on... that's far from being an achievement whore. That averages to roughly 17% out of 100% completed.

No no... no offense taken. I kinda thought someone might have said something about my score anyhow once I made that other post about score whores.
But really, take a look at some of the tags in the xbox.com forum sometime. My score is weak compared to some of the others. I've just played a shit-load of games. I do game a lot.

Hey, i play CSI, and i actually OWN the game. so don't lump everyone that plays CSI into a group of 'achievement whores' either way, Andersg...dunno if it still works u could try clearing the HDD Cache,
Originally posted by 1up,joystiq,etc...: How do I clear the cache on the Xbox 360?
Clearing the cache on the Xbox 360 is a fairly simple process, and can be useful if the system seems sluggish, unresponsive, or you just need to get rid of a game update (for whatever reason).
The most important part of clearing the cache is knowing what to expect. All downloaded game updates will be removed. So if you have downloaded an auto-update for a game, in order to play it on Xbox Live you will need to re-download it.
User game saves, profiles, demos, videos, etc. are not deleted during the process.
Clear the Cache on the Xbox 360
To clear the cache on the Xbox 360 do the following:
* Go to the Xbox Dashboard, select the System Blade, and select Memory.
* Highlight the HD symbol and press Y.
* Press X, X, Left Bumper, Right Bumper, X, X.
You will see a confirmation message to confirm system maintenance, proceed.
of course Xbox says don't do that, it's only for maitenance techs, and the article is from 2yrs ago, but it might still work.
