I have purchased an as-is Xbox 360 from Ebay. It was described as not being able to read disks. I took the Xbox 360 apart and cleaned the lens. I then put a movie in and turned the 360 on. The movie came up and I could watch it, but some other DVD's did not play. I think the lens is burning out and I will probably replace the DVD drive once I dump the drives firmware. The strange thing is that on the top of the DVD drive there is a circular cut in the metal. When I got the 360 the warranty seal was intact.

you will be lucky if you can get the key off that drive.
its obvious that its a bad flash drive, they prob screwed up when flashing and lost the orig firmware,if i am correct you just bought a paperweight.
just because it has a warrenty sticker on it doesnt mean it has never been apart.

Ok, one more question. I heard that the Enable0800 disk disables the firmware protection, but I have read different sites and most of them say you need a dual layered DVD to run Enable0800, but I read a site that says a single layered disk will work. So which one is it?
