Im planning on flashing my xbox 360 v78 drive.It turns out I don't have a SATA port on my pc's motherboard so I need to buy a SATA card.I've been looking all over forums to find out about which SATA card i should use but all of them are about flashing the ms28 Samsung drives with 6421A cards.I need to know if I can depend on one of these cards,6421A or 6421L VIA cards,to flash my xbox 360.
Also I need to know if you need to Hex Edit the VIA 6421A with MtkFlash.I know that you dont need to use MtkFlash for flashing the v78.Just wondering that would you need to Hex Edit the ports I/O's for the v78 or only the Samsung ms25 and ms28 drives.I don't know what that(Hex Editing) is I just saw something on a site while looking at the 6421A VIA card

Either the a or l will work. Just make sure the card you get isn't RAID-only. MTKFlash is only used for Samsung drives.
