I know this may sound like a stupid question but do you need a media center pc to Install Windows Xp: Media Center Edition? I want to be able to use the MC functions on my xbox to pause, rewind, record live TV etc. Is there any possibly way? I would also have to install on TV Tuner card, is that possible on a non Media Center PC too?

Id like to add a question to his. Is there a way to get media center if you dont have the genuine advantage update. Im runing a bootleg copy of windows xp and never could get that patched. The only problem i have is that I cant get media player 11 or w.e to run it with my xbox. Any suggestions would be good. Sorry andersg for asking another question and not helping.

No you can install Media Center Edition on any computer. Here is a thread that talks about this and how to set it up.

Thanks for the thread Iconaw1 but I'm more interesting in the TV functions moreso than streaming movies. I can already do that from my Windows Xp Computer. I was wondering if I install Media Center Edition on my comp will I be able to use the TV functions such as record and all that? It looks like a cool feature and I haven't got to use it on my Xbox 360 yet. I curious and willing to look into it if it's possible.
