I've had this problem for a very long time... and no ones been able to help me in the past, but maybe someone can now.
So I was on 3.4oe a and out of the blue SOME iso's didn't work, and gta lcs stopped working. When the iso's didn't work, it'd go to a black screen and i'd have to take out my battery. when gta didn't work an error code would pop up. so i hope upgrading to 3.52 something with m that my problems would be fixed, but now NONE of my iso's work and gta still doesn't work. I tried switching the kernal, no umd, all of that stuff, and nothings wrorking out.
So any help at all would be very well appreciated. Thanks in advance
1) turn no-UMD off put a umd in the drive and see what happens
2) change the no-UMD to m33 and change the cpu speed to 333mhz
3)(recovery mod) i have had problems with some stuff changing in recovery mode all of a sudden they just stopped working so i change a couple of setting in recovery mode and hay presto it worked so
i)change the different fake regions it may be that the game is for the eu and you have a us psp need to make it be eu compatable so muck about with the different ones there
ii) turn the free umd region on and see if that helps
thats all that i can really think of
another thing as a last resort try a different iso it may be that the one you are using got corrupt at some point and became a bad so try another one to check.

well doing some of the things you listed up there, when one iso doesn't work instead of the black screen, i get an error that says 80020130... im pretty sure it's the same as the one i get when gta doesn't work. it seems like the ones i compressed don't work, but the full iso's work. Thanks a lot though :)
most of the time cso are great but the rest of the time they just stutter and never work that well. for big games like gta id stuck with iso format that way they should always work
