Well I sent them a console in it took well over a week to get there, I have been checking everyday for status of my repair today when I check it,it went from Waiting for device to Device sent to customer,I am worried that they didnt fix it, And I know they didnt replace it cause the serial numbers are the same,So my qyestion is does anyone have experince in this and what should I do if they didnt fix it?The sticker might have been a little damaged but no worse than some new ones i've seen.Any advice?

So have you already gotten it back? Does it work now? They should just send you a refurb, even if opened. Just depends on who you get at the tech center.

Well just got off the phone with them and they refused to fix it,So I guess I will just sell it on ebay for parts,I also asked them if there was a number to call in dispute there decision, but they said it was made by someone in service department, and they couldn't give a number as there supervisers don't have that info.Owell

They just said that it was tampered with before.Nothing else.Would you know of any good places to fix a rrod console, and not a cheap xclamp fix either I mean a total fix of the motherboard and offers a decent warranty on there repair work.I am looking for a place with a good customer rep.Funny thing about this xbox thing is that couple of weeks ago I had 2 xbox's I sold my newest one and kept this rrod one cause it had been working great for a few weeks sence I fixed it,And I sold the one to family and I didnt want to deal with them if the xbox were to run into problems, well hour after they left this one went bad ,in it wouldnt resolve no matter what i tried. That is just my luck .LOL

That's funny you metiond them I just signed up to send it in,Here is a e-mail that they replyed on how they fix it.

Bill,
We do two things to the XBOX 360 console to fix the red light error. We
perform a reflow on the motherboard and we also perform 5 different
upgrades to the cooling system like a fan modification and heat sink
upgrades. For the most part, these repairs cost $89.99 + shipping.
So far they are the only one that replyed to me and they have a 90day warranty I have already payed for shipping the xbox so if you want to wait to see the outcome ill be sure to post.Just need to wait for my xbox now to get back from tx then off to ny it goes.

I had this problem with my first xbox360. Called them up and they said" We only replace you xbox with a referb if we can not repair your original. So I got my original back(same serial) and 1 year later it broke again Buy then it was already modded so I had it repaired somewhere else. Dude if you worried about, sell it back to gamestop ( with out the hard drive) and buy a arcade sysyem with date Sept 2007 and above and you should have too many problems. snap back you hard drive and your done.

Do NOT use them, heard they take FOREVER to repair and send it. Have seen many complaints against them.

Playa , yes they do and no they don't. Depends if they are real busy or if you know some one down in Game stop like I do. Hey, you could do the towel trick just to get it to work to send back to gamestop. My brother-in-law had the same problem with RROD but every other time he turned it on it worked. He brought it back to GS and it worked so he returned and got credit to use for a newer system.

Playea , they don't usually take off the faceplate to see if it was open. At least when I say a costumer return the xbox 360 they didn't take of the faceplate. They just tested it to see if it worked. Also my 1st 360 was modded and broke. I took it to xbox360pros ( to their repair shop in Massapiqua, Long Island. Yhey fixed it in 1 half half hour. Dude you should have seen all of the white xboxes on the shelves. There must have been 500 of them. There were about 5 guys and on girl working there. this is probaly why it takes longer through the mail to return. I have no complaints from them. It cost more if you go to the repair shop because they stop repairing other xboxes and repair yours first.Theyalso replace all of the heat sinks and resolder every connections and put in a new power supply with a better fan. I'm not sure if its a differnt voltage though but it makes a lot of noise and cools dowm the 360.
