how to mod 360 without serial key?

i have everything i need to mod the 360, i just dont know what the hell to do when it asks u for your serial in dos. there are no stickers on my 360 shell, with the serial and i dont know whether or not u need it... i read somewhere that u can just put in any number and then extract the firmware and find the serial in the orig.bin... can someone direct me to a tutorial on this specifically, or even be nice enough to tell me themselves...

not sure that i fully understand your post, but i'll give it a go. if you are referring to when you type in 'dben' and then the serial for a benq drive you can just use 1234567 12345 as your serial #.
you might be able to get a better answer if you let us know what drive you are flashing such as ms25/28, hitachi, benq, and what method your using to flash it such as iprep, dosflash 16/32 etc.

sorry, my mistake, im trying to mod my ms28 with iprep, and i dunno what to put in for the password when i boot into iprep.. does it even matter if i have a serial? or can i just put 1234567 12345...

I didnt think you needed a passowrd for iprep all you need to do is hit y to accept the terms and then use the command's dsam and fsam I think thats what they were anyways and ur xbox serial number for the 1234567-12345 click the link in my sig and go to table of contents and click MS28 and this should really help ya

i understand what you're telling me, but i think u read my post wrong.. theres no password, the cmd where u use your serial, i dont have a serial, what do i put for the serial?

The serial is inside the 360 on the metal part of the 360 when u take it apart and and where you put in the front usbs if you dont have it on the back on the case for some reason

i had 1 that got the 3 lights of death, and it wasnt under warranty, so i baught another 1 and swapped the shells...

i know where the serials should be, i just removed them to take it back... it was a dumb mistake not writing it down but im asking if i can still mod it without the serial (and how) or if im screwed

Yes you can like i said its in those other to places. So whenever you go to mod it just look on the case or on the usb hub. You dont even need it just make up some numbers but make sure you know what they were

Try it and tell me if it worked but im telling you whenever you open it the serial is right there on the metal part. But ya get back at me peace

hey bro, i just finished trying it out and it was successfull... no, i had a new xbox and an old xbox and i swapped the brains... so i took the new shell back with the old brains in it... and i swapped all the serial stickers so it would look legit.. so there are no stickers on the one i kept... its just new brains in an old shell... but thats besides the point... it was successfull and i didnt even need the serial... thanks alot for the help

wish i had of known that before i modded it... if it makes a difference i dont know... but the modding was successful, it worked 100%... now my problem is what site to use to download xbox games... ive tried public torrent sites and im only gettin like 8kb/s... pm me if u cant post the link
