I turned my wii on for the first time in a very long time, and finally managed to get it connected to the wireless. It asked me if I wanted to update, and without thinking I said yes.

Now here is the problem, when I tried playing my back up games, none of them work!!
They used to work before now I get a disc read error. Can I never play back ups again or is there a way around this?

I purchased my wii ready modded from Malaysia so i don't know what mod chip it is, is there any way of finding out without opening the wii?

It has been updated to 3.2U
I live in europe so I don't think originals bought from here will work.

Try putting a wiikey CONFIG disc. if it read then it is a wiikey.
If not then you have to open it.

So I just burn the disc and put it in my wii?
I don't know what GCOS is.
Do I burn the 1.3 disc or the 1.9?
