xclamp mod, replace all the thermal paste, or send it into MS for a replacement.

*OPEN WIDE HERE COMES THE CHU CHU TRAIN* Its a way to fix the RROD that deals with the 2 x shaped clamps holding down the 360 heatsinks. Google it

here is some help it depends if u have a full ring of red you can take of your hardrive and put it back on. if u have 3 quarters of a ring the im pretty sure ur xbox is f*****. srry and good luck

I've had my 360 since Dec 2006 & also play lots of back-ups too.
Just got 3 red lights "RROD" 2 days ago, I did towel trick & so far I got about 3-4 hrs out of it but not sure for how long this will work.
From what I've red this is only temp. fix but don't know more or less how many playing hours it'll give.

Noticed you've mentioned replace x-clamp which I believe it holds down the heat sink. Do you actually repalce it & if so with what or you just try to fix the solders which have broken off?
