RAM is the problem. No, memory sticks wont be converted into RAM memory. And also, the flash0 isn't getting low. its the same. But For the newer fetures, you need to buy a slim. sony stoped making fat psp's so more PPL will buy slim's. Fat will only get small updates EX> Game updates, more themes, visuilizers or other small things.
I found a bricked psp a year ago and me and my friend smashed it. But a week later we heard about pandora. oops...

RAM could prove to be a problem in the future, but it's not likely. The only 2 things the Slim has going for it right now is TV-out, which is alright, but who cares really, and Skype, but Fat owners or Slim owners can just use Furikup.

Blah... I hope that Sony hasn't got any bright ideas for the Slim... Oh well, I still gotta convince my parents to get me a Wii, so I'm not going to worry about this yet...

well, not all fat and slims can use fudikupe or whatever, because what about the noobs who dont know how to hack a PSP? hmmm??

sony has to update sometime right? well, Thats why they released slim, to have better updates. besides, the PSP would die if there were only theme or text updates right?

just wanted to make a quick announcement. I found a way to tell but not 4 sure, in the PSP slim how to tell mother board. in the UMD case, in the top middle, u see a code, i have 3 PSP's to of them have the code and they cant make pandora battery, one has no code and can make a pandora, TA-85v2 code is 7BVOB, TA-85 v1 can make a pandora, it has nothing printed.

Hey who says that?
If there is new features for the PSP Slim.
I'm sure hackers or whoever will rip the feature out into a eboot
or.... make a EBOOT similar to the new feature.
Example Skype homebrew also available on PSP phat.

alot of people slagging it off ;( but as far as ofw goes they can just add loads of stuff in it'd be pointless and wouldn't work with the phat.
im realy not going to slag it off it'll be worth the wait in the end as cfw should have a imporvment on it; if you look at it being a new battle between GEN and M33 if M33 want to show off to GEN then the new 4.00 cfw will be a lot better the GEN and previouse versions or we may find the GEN will start work again and they'll have a go at it so you'd have 4.00M33 and 4.00GEN to choose from.
wel'll have to wait untill its released before we can realy say its bad.

I was hoping that DA would find a way to get skype working on the phat psps. I know that the phat has less memory but I figured he's done some magic before... and skype would be awesome to have on my ol' psp. I'm not planning on buying the slim, I'll probably wait till the psp 3000 sku comes out. (whenever that is)

do you think they may have started to compress the prx and rco files more for the fat as it seems to be lacking space now so this update may be more of a + for cfw then for it being ofw have to wait for dax to find out!
does seem to lack but theres not much more they can add anyway due to the phat being low on flash

Well, they have 64 mb on the slim. Why not use it? Have minimal support for the fat, and have a few major updates for the Slim (802.11G, anyone? I think the Slim can do both B and G)

i dont know what sonys playing at but it not getting good feed back.

I guess we were all fools to the update, the world was waiting for one of the most filled update of all, the romur started was false, I bet over half the PPL related in the PSP scene is disappointed for the update. hey, the google thing is great though, its somthing new. But no dvix, PS3 network play... 802.11G... so lets hope we see some shine for the next update. 4.01? 4.03? or 4.10?
